HOW TO DONATE FOR SUTASOMA PROJECT BATCH 3 (DEC 2020 - JAN 2021) <<<<<
1. Overview
Another batch of Sutasoma Project has been accomplished successfully! Thank you very much to our donors who have donated money to buy food and other basic needs for the underprivileged families. The project was done in the beginning of December (December 2 - 7, 2020) and targeting 3 beneficiaries / families to receive the 3 big packages; include 25 Kg of uncooked rice, 20 pcs of noodles, 1 crate of eggs, 1 package of toiletries / diapers, and Rp100,000 cash money per package. The division of different priorities was made following the condition of the families and the budget availability. For more details pertaining to packages delivered and beneficiaries' profile, please kindly refer to the point 2 and 3 below.
All beneficiaries felt so thankful with their eyes in tears and could not stop expressing their gratitude when the food packages were delivered to their places. If you would be there with the organizer, you could feel their feeling, sadness, and happiness. The organizer personally felt so blessed to have the donors' trust to deliver their kindness, so that he could witness such feelings that made him so grateful for the life given and invite more people to help those who are in need together. One thing that should be learned and understood in sharing is that "every little bit helps".
On behalf of the beneficiaries, to all donors; Justin Paltridge O'Malley (Juddy) (Perth, Australia), Florian Schmidt (Germany), and another donor (Bali), and supporters, I thank you very much. I highly appreciate your kindness and tremendous support through the Sutasoma Project batch 2 in December 2020. Hopefully, Sutasoma Project can be one of the ways you sow good deeds and karma. May good thoughts come from all directions. Thank you.

3. Primary Targeted Beneficiaries' Brief Profile
· Dalem, An elderly woman with a stroke, Sangsit, Buleleng – Singaraja, Bali
Sutasoma Project organizer, Dalem, and Nyoman Kani are talking in Dalem and Nyoman Kani's small room |
Dalem (about 75) previously helped make offerings in the priest house. This is a usual activity done by women in a village and get about Rp25,000 per day plus meals twice. However, this is not happening every day. At this time, she received money to live from her daughter, Nyoman Kani (about 35) who worked in Denpasar as a housemaid.
Currently, due to a stroke, Dalem is left disabled since a year ago and cannot go anywhere. She just stays at home. Nyoman Kani needed to resign from her work in Denpasar and choose to be home taking care of Dalem because Nyoman Kani is the only support Dalem has. They both live together in a small room that does not belong to them and struggle to afford food daily. Nyoman Kani is not working since she needs to take care of Dalem every day as Dalem currently uses a wheelchair. Dalem as well wears diapers.
Dalem sits on her wheelchair in the small room where Dalem and Nyoman Kani sleep |
Dalem and Nyoman Kani are often receiving food from the neighborhood. This is the main way that they can have something to eat.
Noticing those facts, Sutasoma Project has delivered a food package to them in Sutasoma Project Batch 2. The package included 25 Kg of uncooked rice, 1 crate of eggs (30 eggs), 20 pcs of noodles, 2 pcs of diapers, Rp100,000 cash money.
